THE B STREAM TO RELEASE KILLER KEG THEATRICALLY
TAMPA, Florida August 13, 2025 – The B Stream, the new Netflix alternative for “B” movies, horror films, and cult favorites, didn’t stick to just streaming long. After acquiring Killer Keg, a horror comedy directed by Brad Leo Lyon, it immediately set it for theatrical release as part of its new B Stream Releases division. The film, which stars familiar faces like Jeremy London (Mallrats/Party of Five), Russell Hodgkinson (Z Nation/Big Fish), Lew Temple (The Walking Dead/Devil’s Rejects), and scream queen Brinke Stevens (Slumber Party Massacre), will release in limited theaters this winter.
Killer Keg tells the story of a group of friends who throw a party to cheer one of them up after he was recently dumped. However, the mysterious keg they acquire causes them to get trapped in a strange time loop where each new day results in the disappearance of another person.
The movie faced its own set of reoccurring horror like circumstances. After initially being shut down during production 5 years ago during the pandemic, it returned to filming on the Gulf Coast only to be hit head on by Category 4 Hurricane Ian in September of 2022. Undergoing principal photography for the third time, it experienced additional delays in 2023 from Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
The B Stream formulated its release strategy after gauging the recent success of Thursday the 12th, another horror comedy from Lyon, which is currently offered exclusively on the service. It’s been one of its top performing films since The B Stream went live in March of this year. The film, which stars Jena Sims (Happy Gilmore 2/Last Vegas), Todd Bridges (Different Strokes), Marilyn Ghigliotti (Clerks), and Brian Sutherland (Grimm/Z Nation), had its own successful road show style cinematic release in early 2024.
Operating as a subscription streaming service, The B Stream releases movies and TV series in the uncensored manner they receive each title. It never interrupts its viewers movie watching with advertisements and even features a social media element it calls The Hive (the community feature on its apps). Here subscribers can interact with each other, post their own videos and photos, and even request movies to be licensed. Subscriptions are available as low as $5.99 a month when purchased annually or no commitment required for only $7.99 a month. It can be found at thebstream.com and through your Apple and Google Play App stores. A 3-day free trial is currently being offered.
