THE HIVE PREPARES TO BE SEEN

TAMPA, Florida September 9, 2025 – In the insect kingdom, it is a readily known fact that hives typically do not enjoy being observed. The B Stream is known to be innovators. Today, they break that tradition as production begins on Hive Watch.

Netflix was founded in 1997, began streaming in 2007, and premiered its first series in 2012. It took approximately 15 years for them to accomplish that task. Tubi was founded in 2014 and began producing original content in 2021. That 7 year timeline cut the originator's in half.

The B Stream was founded in 2024 and launched its first app in March of 2025. By September of that same year, cameras were already rolling on the first ever B Stream originals

"We're well aware we're still the little guys, barely poking our antenna outside the honeycomb," Chief Operating Officer Brad Lyon began. "But this is a big deal for us. Producing our own B Stream Originals and acquiring exclusive releases gives our subscribers content they can't find anywhere else. It allows us to enhance their experience, which is what we strive to do every day."

Hive Watch is a uniquely meta production, where characters often play caricatures of themselves set within the film industry. It follows the lives of a film cast and crew as they embark on the journey of bringing Swarm Watch to life for a new streaming network with limited resources. With no intention of hiding its intent of spoofing The B Stream itself, the network is named directly.

While already giving off The Office vibes, each episode features an even deeper dive into its real life connection to its source material. Events and dialog correspond directly with movies already streaming on the service. The show even segues directly to authentic trailers of movies.

"The B Stream isn't the home of widely known blockbusters. We're the bodyguards to B movies. The champions of cult cinema. Our subscribers love the rare, the obscure, the banned; movies that deserve a wider audience but may not yet have one. Hive Watch isn't meant to just be a funny sitcom, its also a tool to empower our audience with the knowledge of the films which are just a click away. After all, for a movie to truly become a cult hit, it needs a little buzz."

Production is expected to continue through the end of the year. Episodes may be leaked as early as the 4th quarter.

Operating as a subscription streaming service, The B Stream releases movies and TV series in the uncensored manner they receive each title. It never interrupts its viewers movie watching with advertisements and even features a social media element it calls The Hive (the community feature on its apps). Here subscribers can interact with each other, post their own videos and photos, and even request movies to be licensed. Subscriptions are available as low as $5.99 a month when purchased annually or no commitment required for only $7.99 a month. It can be found at thebstream.com and through your Apple and Google Play App stores.  A 3-day free trial is currently being offered.
