A NEW PARTNERSHIP HAS LANDED
PORT CHARLOTTE, Florida December 24, 2025 – It may be Christmas Eve but it is not Santa's sleigh that's landed. Cosmic Films has touched down in the B Stream.
Founded by executive Danny Takacs in 2021, Cosmic Films originally crash landed on planet YouTube as a popular channel for short horror films. By 2023, it had already expanded into feature film distribution with a focus on the streaming video on demand market.
The B Stream and Cosmic Films will launch their partnership with the release of a pair of as of yet unidentified by SVOD audience movies that will be flying their way onto your screens soon. The international film festival gem Abrakadabra is a sinister modern giallo film from Argentinian filmmaking duo Luciano and Nicolas Onetti. It's original festival tour was in 2018 but it never received a wide release, especially in North America, until now. Meanwhile its counterpart, Flashlight, just wrapped its festival tour and likewise has yet to debut on SVOD.
"As we begin 2026, we are placing a heightened emphasis on bringing our B Streamers movies which are not already highly available other places," B Stream COO Brad Lyon shared. "This new partnership with Cosmic Films may seem like just one small step for a streaming service, but we feel it is a giant leap towards boldly going where few streamers have gone before."
Horrible puns aside, The B Stream looks forward to a long partnership with Cosmic Films as they've already illustrated a strong ability to acquire bold, stylish, and original films that may have "slipped through the cracks," as Takacs has previously stated. They work hard to find each cinematic diamond in the rough and give it a "chance to find the cult audience it always deserved." That, in its essence, is one of the core things The B Stream strives to do.
Likewise, Cosmic films shares another similar trait. During its initial release internationally, Abrakadabra was often highly censored. Cosmic Films is "resurrecting the film in its fully uncut form, presented exactly how the filmmakers intended." This is a core mission statement of The B Stream, which never censors any of the films it releases.
Operating as a subscription streaming service, The B Stream releases movies and TV series in the uncensored manner they receive each title. It never interrupts its viewers movie watching with advertisements and even features a social media element it calls The Hive (the community feature on its apps). Here subscribers can interact with each other, post their own videos and photos, and even request movies to be licensed. Subscriptions are available as low as $5.99 a month when purchased annually or no commitment required for only $7.99 a month. It can be found at thebstream.com and through your Apple and Google Play App stores.
