HAVE NO FEAR, CINEPHOBIA IS HERE
PORT CHARLOTTE, Florida August 28 2025 – Its name might refer to the fear of movies, but subscribers to The B Stream won't want to be scared of Cinephobia's lineup. The new genre label has officially joined the swarm of companies with titles streaming on The B.
Cinephobia Releasing is the brainchild of Executive Ray Murray, whose prior concoction, Artsploitation Films, sold to International film distributor Kino Lorber. Its already making major waves in the industry with the debut of one of its flagship films, Brute 1976, sailing into select theaters August 29th.
“Brute 1976 is bloody and sexy, with a deranged family so demented they make John Waters’s Pink Flamingos look like a paradigm of family values,” said Cinephobia President Raymond Murray. “Brute 1976 restored my faith in horror that shocks.”
Don't just take Raymond's word for it. Josh at the Movies called it "A gory slice of star spangled hell oozing with grungy 70s atmosphere!" After watching the screener, B Stream COO Brad Lyon marked it down as a "must have" and positioned The B Stream to be one of the first places in the world people will be able to stream the movie following its theatrical run.
"We want to bring the best titles in the world to our B Streamers, Cinephobia Releasing looks to be acquiring films that deserve to be in that conversation. Brute 1976 may just wind up being one of the best genre movies released this year. That's why we're making sure that our subscribers will be some of the first to see it."
Although Brute 1976 might be getting a lot of the buzz at the moment, several other titles are on their way. Michael Pierro's 2024 thriller Self Driver blew critics away with a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 4.6 (out of 5) from Vinegar Syndrome. Not to be left behind, Dane Elcar's debut horror film Brightwood kept pace with a 94% from Rotten Tomatoes. Even Italian cinema is included with such movies as horror release The Goldsmith and erotic thriller Emanuelle's Revenge.
Operating as a subscription streaming service, The B Stream releases movies and TV series in the uncensored manner they receive each title. It never interrupts its viewers movie watching with advertisements and even features a social media element it calls The Hive (the community feature on its apps). Here subscribers can interact with each other, post their own videos and photos, and even request movies to be licensed. Subscriptions are available as low as $5.99 a month when purchased annually or no commitment required for only $7.99 a month. It can be found at thebstream.com and through your Apple and Google Play App stores. A 3-day free trial is currently being offered.
